Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) and POPI Manual

Prepared in terms of Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (as amended) Incorporating provisions of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), 2013

  1. Introduction

This manual is prepared in accordance with Section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA), as amended, and includes provisions required under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

It sets out the procedure for accessing records held by Nexus Legal and explains how personal information is collected, processed, stored, and protected in accordance with the POPI Act.

  1. Request Procedure in Terms of PAIA

To request access to records in terms of PAIA, please complete the prescribed Form C and submit it to the Information Officer at the address or email listed above. Access will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Act, subject to the payment of any applicable fees.
