Terms and Conditions

  1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Nexus Legal website and services. By engaging our services or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our site or services.

  1. Nature of Services

Nexus Legal is a legal consulting firm that offers non-litigious legal support, including but not limited to legal advice, document drafting, contract reviews, business support services, and guidance on labour and compliance matters.

All services are provided in accordance with applicable South African laws and regulations. Nexus Legal is not a law firm and does not offer representation in court proceedings.

  1. Consultations and Engagement
  • All services begin with an initial consultation, either virtual or in-person, which may be subject to a consultation fee.
  • Following the consultation, clients will receive a written quotation for the proposed work.
  • Work will only commence once the client has accepted the quotation in writing (email confirmation suffices) and agreed to these Terms.
  • For ongoing or extensive work, a formal engagement letter or agreement may be required.
  1. Invoicing and Payment Terms
  • Invoices will be issued based on the accepted quotation.
  • Unless otherwise agreed, all invoices are payable within 7 (seven) calendar days of issue.
  • In certain cases, Nexus Legal may offer a payment plan of up to three months, subject to approval and agreement in writing.
  • Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 2% per month, and continued non-payment may result in service suspension or legal recovery.
  1. Cancellations and Refunds
  • Clients may cancel services in writing prior to commencement. If cancellation occurs after work has started, the client will be liable for any work already completed.
  • Consultation fees are non-refundable once the session has occurred.
  • Refunds, where applicable, will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  1. Confidentiality

All client communications, documentation, and personal information will be treated with strict confidentiality, in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and professional ethical standards.

  1. Client Responsibilities

Clients are expected to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and timely information relevant to the services requested.
  • Respond promptly to communication and requests from Nexus Legal.
  • Comply with agreed timelines and payment obligations.
  1. Limitation of Liability

Nexus Legal will exercise reasonable skill and care in delivering services. However, we do not guarantee outcomes or specific results. Nexus Legal shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from the use of our services or reliance on advice provided, except where caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
